Every year, Lima te Llena hosts a Peruvian cooking workshop for teens visiting Lima as part of the Project World School program. The organization encourages alternative young adult education through interest-led life experiences, traveling in the real world, and life-long learning rather than conventional teacher-classroom settings and methods.
Project World School arranges annual Peru retreats and has now twice reached out to Lima te Llena to ensure the best cooking classes in Lima catered to teens!
Last year in 2014, Chef Jose made delicious ceviche with the youths and also taught them about marine life and diversity in Peru, the history of this iconic national favorite, and the techniques for preparing the dish. This year, the teen group made a 3-course Peruvian food meal: causa, ceviche, and quinoa salad!
