Whether you are looking for a nice place to unwind after a full day exploring Peru's capital or are in search of an adventure to jump start the early hours, here are our best ideas for things to do in Lima at night:
There are few better places for a night walk than along the Costa Verde, the clifftop boardwalk, of Miraflores District and also Barranco District. Many couples and families will pleasantly share the sidewalk with you, and you will pass city highlights such as Love Park, LarcoMar shopping center tucked in the cliffs, the famous lighthouse of Miraflores, a skatepark, and more. A secret spot we also love is Parque las Peras which overlooks the Pacific Ocean in San Isidro District, which is like the Costa Verde but much more secluded and more serene; check with the San Isidro Municipality for events that take place here from time to time.
The Lima Cultural Association also frequently arranges events (many free) in the evenings such as Free Museum Nights towards the end of every month. For all of you last minute planners, check out Ingreso Libre on Facebook (Spanish) which promotes free events of all kinds: art, educational, history, conferences, shows, children's events, and more.
A great meal is a fine way to close out (or start) and evening. Lima has no shortage of delicious restaurants to choose from, such as Punto Azul for seafood lovers, Panchita for a full Peruvian menu, Tierra Santa for savory Mediterranean favorites, Tio Mario's for grilled beef hearts, and Arlotia for delightful Spanish/Peruvian tapas. Chase your dinner with a drink of your choice: Nuevo Mundo Draft Bar and Superba are our favorites for indulging in local craft beers, pisco and premium cocktails are best done at Huaringas Bar or the majestic Victoria Bar, and coffees and juices will keep you going at KulCafe and La Bodega Verde. If your taste buds are crying for dessert, you have to go to La Postreria, San Antonio Cafe, and Don Maminos.

Peruvians never stop moving to the beat. If you like rock and alternative music, you will find your people at Sargento Pimienta and La Noche. Jazz is best found at Crocodilo Verde and Jazz Zone. Stay up all night to the latest electronic shows at El Dragon and Noise clubs.
